FIDE Trainers’ Seminar

Those who have registered for or are interested in attending the FIDE Trainer Seminar which is scheduled from 9-13 June 2015 in conjunction with the ASEAN+ Age group Championships are requested to urgently confirm their participation by contacting Peter Long (Mobile: 97754952, E-Mail: peterlong@aol.asia).

We have decided to accommodate requests by accompanying persons (coaches, officials, and parents) who have expressed interest by scheduling the seminar around the games as follows:

Day 1: 09 June

2000-2230       Opening of Seminar, Welcoming and Introducing of Participants and Lecturers; FIDE Regulations; Coaching Players with Special Needs

Day  2: 10 June

2000-2230         The Role of Classics; Classical Rook Endings; Open/Semi-Open File

Day 3: 11 June

2000-2230         Bishop vs Knight in Rook Endings; Minor Piece Endings

Day 4: 12 June

1530-1800          Typical Plans; The Role of Prophylaxis

2000-2230         Attacking the King; Bishop Pair

Day 5: 13 June

2000-2230        Preparation of the Exam; Exam; Handover of Certificates

Lecturers are SFT & GM Thomas Luther (Germany) and FT & FM Peter Long (Malaysia)

The fee for the seminar which will be held at the Nanyang Executive Centre is Euros 400.
